What 꾸 means

On a Korean keyboard, enter ㄲ, then ㅜ.

A Korean input method joins the component letters into one syllable block. If you insert ㄲ and ㅜ as separate standalone characters, they may stay separate; fonts can also change the components’ proportions and placement.

The meaning depends on the whole word: 꾸미다 can mean “decorate” or “fabricate,” while 꿈꾸다 means “dream” or “hope.”

What does 꾸 mean by itself?

It has no single meaning by itself; the whole word supplies it.

Hangul, the Korean writing system, was developed in 1443–1446 to make Korean easier to write than using Chinese characters. 꾸 is one syllable block in that writing system, made from consonant and vowel letters.
