What 꽯 means
꽯 is a syllable, not a standalone word with a fixed meaning.
It combines the opening consonant ㄲ, the vowel ㅙ, and the two-part final ㄼ. That final pair is pronounced differently in different Korean words, so the isolated block does not give a dependable English meaning.
Hangul was devised in Joseon to write Korean. The 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a text introducing the script, explains its purpose and how a syllable combines an opening consonant, a vowel, and an ending consonant.
How is 꽯 built and typed?
Enter ㄲ, ㅙ, then ㄼ in a Korean input method.
On the standard Korean 2-set QWERTY layout, type ShiftR, H, O, F, Q: ShiftR gives ㄲ, H then O forms ㅙ, and F then Q forms ㄼ. The input method joins those jamo into one block; on another Korean layout, enter the same jamo sequence.
ㄲ is the opening consonant component of 꽯. ㅙ is its compound vowel, and ㄼ is its final two-consonant component.
Should I send 꽯 by itself?
Send it alone only in a Hangul-related context.
In ordinary Korean writing, a syllable sits within a word or phrase. Without that context, a recipient may read 꽯 as an unexplained fragment, a font or input-method test, or a mistaken paste.
Hangul syllables are drawn by fonts, which can arrange their components differently. If this appears as a box, the active font may lack the character.
Neutral and technical: it belongs in Korean text or a discussion of Hangul, fonts, or input methods.
Sent alone in an ordinary chat, it can look like a typo or an unexplained paste.
