뀳 is a Hangul block, the Korean writing system's way of grouping letters into syllables; its parts are ᄁ, ᅲ, and ᆲ. The surrounding word supplies its meaning and helps determine how the final consonant cluster sounds.

What 뀳 means

Hangul was created so Korean could be written directly. Before it, people used Chinese characters to write Korean, although the languages differ. King Sejong created Hangul in 1443; a book explaining its purpose and design appeared in 1446. Hangul became the official national script in 1894.

Some scholars have proposed influence from Phags-pa, a script developed under Mongol rule. A 2016 study argued for the link; it remains debated and concerns Hangul's design overall, not the ancestry of this syllable.
