What 괘 means
Read the full word before translating 괘. Hangul is Korea’s alphabet; Hanja are Chinese characters used in Korean words.
The I Ching’s earliest known manuscript evidence dates to around 300 BCE. Hangul was created in 1443; Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the script, explained it in 1446. During the Joseon period, scholars also used hexagrams as moral and educational guides.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
