What 궻 means
A block, not a word by itself. Hangul, the Korean writing system, combines consonant and vowel letters (jamo) into syllables. 궻 has initial ㄱ, vowel ㅞ, and final ㅊ; Unicode decomposes it into ᄀ, ᅰ, ᆾ.
King Sejong’s court devised Hangul in 1443 to make Korean easier to write; the guide Hunminjeongeum followed in 1446. Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal adapted Chinese characters for Korean before Hangul, but did not produce this block. Hangul later appeared on everyday objects and in literary, religious, and practical books. South Korea calls it Hangul; North Korea, Chosŏn'gŭl.

1Why does 궻 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
