What 궈 means
Alone, 궈 has no fixed meaning. Korean transcriptions of Chinese names use it for 郭; 궈징밍 is the Korean spelling of 郭敬明.
Hangul offered an accessible alternative to older Chinese-character methods for writing Korean, including Idu (이두), Gugyeol (구결) and Hyangchal (향찰). It is first recorded in 1443; the explanatory book Hunminjeongeum (훈민정음) appeared in 1446.

Questions people ask
1Why does 궈 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
