What 힘 means
It names force and capacity. It can also mean help, ability, effort, or courage. In Hangul, the Korean alphabet, ㅎㅣㅁ form one syllable block; standard Korean romanization writes it him.
It was created in 1443 and explained in Hunminjeongeum, a 1446 guide to the new alphabet. The 1459 Wolinseokbo text uses 힘 in a phrase about strength; the 1481 Dusieonhae text records the older spelling 히믈.
Neutral as a noun; the phrase around it sets the tone.
Bare 힘 does not by itself say “cheer up.”
