What 잍 means

A spelling syllable, not a word on its own.

King Sejong created Hangul, first called 훈민정음, in 1443 to make Korean easier to write; an explanatory book followed in 1446. Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal adapted Chinese characters to write Korean. Hangul became Korea’s official script in 1894; under Japanese rule from 1910, preserving it helped defend Korean language and identity.

Why does its shape vary by font?

Fonts can arrange its parts differently.

Font design shifts their size and placement; the character remains 잍.

Neutral spelling; the word sets its tone.

Don’t send it alone as a reaction.
