What 즞 means
One Hangul syllable, written in a block.
The first ㅈ is the consonant, ㅡ the vowel, and final ㅈ closes it.
How did Hangul develop?
Hangul writes Korean speech, distinguished from Chinese in its guide. Hunminjeongeum explained its letter system; the system was announced in 1443 and the guide published in 1446.
Script names shifted from jeongeum/eonmun to gukmun/gukseo after 1894. Hangeul appears in early 1910s records; by 1928, the script was widely used. Unicode 1.1 records CIEUC EU CIEUC in an older Hangul range.
