What 줵 means
It contributes one syllable; the word around it supplies meaning. 줵 is built from the initial consonant ㅈ, the vowel ㅞ, and the final consonant ㄱ. Hangul's component letters are called jamo. The final ㄱ distinguishes 줵 from 줴.
A 1443 entry in the Sejong Sillok, the annals of King Sejong, records the announcement of Hangul. In 1446, Hunminjeongeum, a book explaining the new script, described its aim of making Korean speech easier to write and its initial–medial–final syllable structure. Written Korean once used Hangul alongside Hanja, Chinese characters used in Korean; over time, Hangul became the main script of modern Korean.
How do I type 줵?
Use a Korean input method and enter ㅈ, ㅞ, then ㄱ. On the standard two-set Korean keyboard, W–N–P–R produces ㅈ–ㅜ–ㅔ–ㄱ; the input method combines ㅜㅔ into ㅞ and assembles the block as you type. In the wrong input mode, those keys produce Latin letters or uncombined pieces.
Unicode also defines a canonically equivalent jamo sequence for this precomposed block. Normalization Form C (NFC), a Unicode text-normalization form, can recombine separated jamo into 줵. If a text field shows the components separately, it may be storing separate letters rather than the precomposed syllable block.
Neutral as a Hangul syllable; its tone depends on the Korean word and sentence around it.

1Why does 줵 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
