What 쟻 means
It is Hangul text, not an emoji or a standalone word. Hangul blocks form from letters called jamo.
In 쟻, ㅈ is the initial consonant, ㅒ the vowel, and ㅊ the final consonant.
Why does this Hangul block exist?
Hangul's spelling rules allow this consonant–vowel–consonant pattern. The three jamo combine into one syllable block.
The modern Korean spelling system follows a unified orthography proposal from 1933. That is the broader setting for Hangul's block structure.

Questions people ask
3Why does 쟻 split into jamo?
It can. Unicode Normalization Form D (NFD) decomposes a precomposed Hangul syllable into conjoining jamo; NFC recomposes the canonically equivalent sequence into one block.
Why does 쟻 look different in different fonts?
It can. Unicode leaves the placement, shape, and size of Hangul components to the font, so typefaces can draw the same character differently.
Why does AltX fail outside Word?
Support varies. As of 2026-09-13, Microsoft says some Office programs do not support hexadecimal conversion with AltX. On Windows, Character Map is one alternative; elsewhere, use a Unicode input method available on your system.
