What 졎 means
It meant “breast” or “milk.” It appears in the 1447 Buddhist book Seokbo sangjeol. 졎 belongs to Middle Korean, an older stage of Korean, and later gave way to 젖. Hangul was designed to write Korean speech rather than rely on Chinese characters; consonant and vowel letters combine into syllable blocks. Its creation was recorded in 1443, and the 1446 book Hunminjeongeum explains the alphabet.
Historical or scholarly; in ordinary Korean writing, it can read as a mistake.
For the modern word, use 젖.
