What 쥿 means
It is one syllable, not a standalone word. Its parts are ㅈ (initial consonant), ㅠ (vowel), and ㅅ (final consonant).
Hangul was devised to write Korean. It was announced as Hunminjeongeum (the script’s original name) in 1443; a 1446 book of the same name explained its design. Earlier names included jeongeum, eonmun, and banjeol; after 1894, gukmun and gukseo became common. “Hangeul” appears in records from the early 1910s and spread widely in 1928.
