What 콬 means
It is a Hangul block spelling one Korean syllable. Hangul is the Korean alphabet; it combines consonant and vowel letters, called jamo, into syllable blocks. In 콬, ㅋ appears as both the opening and final consonant, with ㅗ as the vowel. A Korean input method composes the typed sequence ㅋㅗㅋ into the block.
Hangul was made to represent Korean speech more directly than Chinese characters. The first record of 훈민정음, a description of the new writing system, dates to 1443; an explanatory book followed in 1446. The Unicode date 1996 marks digital encoding of this block, not the origin of Hangul.
Its use is technical or part of a proper name; context supplies the meaning.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
