What 멣 means
By itself, 멣 is a syllable, not a translated word. Jamo are Hangul’s consonant and vowel letters. “Melh” joins their Unicode short names; it is not a Korean pronunciation. Its parts—ᄆ, ᅦ and ᆶ—may display separately.
King Sejong created Hangul in 1443 because Chinese characters alone poorly served Korean. The 1446 Hunminjeongeum book explained its design. Hangul appeared in Buddhist and practical books, became official in 1894, lost that status in 1910, and was widely called Hangeul by 1928.

Questions people ask
1Why does 멣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
