What 묌 means
It is one Hangul syllable; context identifies the word.
Hangul writes Korean syllables in blocks. The label “Moem” names this syllable's reading; it is not a word translation. The block has three parts: initial consonant ᄆ, vowel ᅬ, and final consonant ᆷ. The surrounding Korean word or sentence supplies the meaning.
On the standard two-set Korean keyboard, A-H-L-A enters ㅁ + ㅗ + ㅣ + ㅁ; the input method joins ㅗ and ㅣ as ㅚ.
How did Hangul develop?
Hangul was designed to write Korean more directly.
The earliest documented notice of its creation dates to 1443. The Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the letters and how they combine, was published in 1446. It explained the letters' sound principles and how initial consonants, vowels, and final consonants form syllable blocks.
Before Hangul, Korean was also written with Chinese characters. Idu adapted those characters to represent Korean words and grammar; related practices, hyangchal and gugyeol, also used Chinese characters to write Korean.
The script had several names, including jeongeum, eonmun, and banjeol. After the 1894 Gabo Reform, gukmun or gukseo became common names; Hangeul was widely used as the script's name after 1928. These are names for the writing system, not alternate identities for 묌.
How do I type 묌?
Enter the letter components in order with a Korean input method.
On the standard two-set keyboard, A-H-L-A enters ㅁ + ㅗ + ㅣ + ㅁ; the input method combines ㅗ and ㅣ as ㅚ and completes 묌.
Unicode can also store it as three separate Hangul letter components, ᄆ + ᅬ + ᆷ. A Korean input method or NFC normalization can compose them into 묌; fonts or apps may display the separated sequence differently.
Neutral in Korean writing; isolated, it reads more like a text or input sample than a conversational signal.
A lone 묌 is too little to decode as a reaction; ask what word or sentence was intended.

2Can I tell what word 묌 means by itself?
Not reliably. The block gives one syllable, but the surrounding Korean word or sentence tells you what was meant.
Why does 묌 look different in another font?
It can. Hangul fonts arrange the letter components into a syllable block, and stroke details or spacing can vary while the character stays the same.

A visible symbol can contain several code points. JS .length counts UTF-16 units; UTF-8 counts bytes.
