What 닟 means
Its Unicode name describes the spelling pattern; it is not a Korean translation.
ㄴ is the initial consonant, ㅣ the vowel, and ㅊ the final consonant. These individual Hangul letters are called jamo. In a longer Korean word, the word gives the syllable its pronunciation and meaning. Unicode treats 닟 as one syllable block for grapheme and line-break behavior, while the font controls its visible shape.
Hangul’s design was completed in 1443 and explained in the 1446 Hunminjeongeum manuscript, which set out a way to write Korean speech and make writing easier for more people. If someone sends 닟 alone, ask for the surrounding Korean word or phrase before guessing at intent.
Neutral as a character; opaque as a one-character message.
Sent alone, 닟 can look like a typo or an unfinished Korean word.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
