What 녙 means
Turn on Korean input, then enter the three jamo in order. Enter ㄴ, ㅕ, and ㅌ; the input method assembles them as 녙.
The common 2-set Korean keyboard uses the same sequence. Key positions vary by device.
Why does 녙 sometimes split into three characters?
It is the same syllable written as decomposed jamo. The precomposed syllable 녙 canonically decomposes into 녙: a leading consonant, vowel, and final consonant. NFC combines the sequence where possible; NFD exposes its parts.
If the pieces display separately or an exact-match check fails, normalize both strings to the same form before comparing.
When did Hangul begin?
Hangul began in 15th-century Korea. The earliest surviving record of the script is in the Sejong Sillok, dated lunar 1443; Hunminjeongeum, the book introducing the letters, was published in 1446. Hangul was designed to write Korean speech in a system people could learn and use.
Before Hangul, Idu, Hyangchal, and Gugyeol adapted Chinese characters to write Korean words and grammar or guide reading. Hangul first circulated as vernacular writing alongside elite Classical Chinese, then became the main writing system for Korean. South Korean usage calls it Hangul; North Korean usage calls it Joseongeul.

Questions people ask
2Does 녙 have a meaning on its own?
By itself, it gives a syllable sound, not a full translation; the Korean word containing it supplies the meaning.
Why can text checks miss 녙?
The same syllable can be stored as 녙 or as 녙. Normalize both strings to the same form before an exact comparison.
