What 풮 means
A syllable block, not a message. Hangul arranges Korean letters into syllable blocks. Its individual letters, called jamo, are placed together: 풮 has ㅍ at the start, ㅝ as the vowel, and ㅍ at the end. On its own, it is a spelling unit; its role comes from the Korean word containing it.
Hangul's milestones are 1443 and 1446: King Sejong created it to write Korean, and the book Hunminjeongeum, published in 1446, explained its design. Before and alongside Hangul, Korean writers also used Chinese characters in systems called Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal. These are historical writing traditions, not visual ancestors of 풮.
