What 뢽 means

Alone in chat, read it as a fragment of Korean text.

Why is 뢽 one block?

Unicode composes three jamo into one syllable block.

The same text can appear as 뢽 or as the jamo sequence 뢽; Unicode treats them as equivalent. Some Korean input methods decide whether a consonant starts or ends a syllable from typing context.

Before Hangul, Chinese characters were adapted to write Korean. King Sejong created Hangul in 1443 as an easier system; the 1446 book Hunminjeongeum explained its design. The modern syllable set, including 뢽, follows Korea's KS C 5601-1992 standard.

Why does 뢽 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
