What 룹 means

King Sejong’s court created Hangul for writing Korean; a court record dates it to 1443. The book 훈민정음, published in 1446, explains the script’s purpose and principles. Phags-pa, a square-shaped script commissioned for the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty in 1265 and promulgated in 1269, has been proposed in Korean scholarship as a possible influence, not a proven ancestor.
