What 릡 means
It is a syllable block assembled from three jamo. Hangul, the Korean writing system, combines Hangul jamo (letters) into blocks. 릡 contains ᄅ (initial consonant), ᅴ (vowel), and ᆸ (final consonant). Hangul was created in 1443 to write Korean and make literacy easier. Its 1446 guide, Hunminjeongeum, also gave the script its original name. Other names included eonmun (vernacular script) and gukmun (national script). Records from the early 1910s show Hangeul, which spread widely by 1928. This is the script’s history, not the origin of 릡.
