What 릑 means
It is a built Korean syllable, not a word with a fixed meaning.
A jamo is an individual Hangul letter; Korean syllables combine consonant and vowel jamo in a block. 릑 combines ᄅ as its initial consonant, ᅴ as its vowel and ᆨ as its final consonant. “Ryig” is the romanized label in its Unicode name, not a Korean or English translation.
King Sejong’s court developed Hangul in 1443–1446 and introduced it through Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the new script. Hangul’s letters were designed for Korean sounds and arranged into syllable blocks; 릑 follows that system.

Questions people ask
1Why does 릑 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
