What 샖 means
샖 is a Hangul syllable, not a standalone word.
It joins ㅅ (initial consonant), ㅐ (vowel), and ㄿ (final batchim); ㄿ combines ㄹ and ㅍ.
Korean was often written with Chinese characters, which did not fit its sounds neatly. King Sejong's court developed Hangul to make reading and writing easier. The script was completed in 1443; a guide explaining it was published in 1446. Hangul later reshaped Korean literature and society.
