What 슿 means

슿 writes one syllable; its word supplies the meaning.

Hangul arranges individual letters, called jamo, into one compact block per syllable. Here ㅅ begins it, ㅡ is the vowel, and ㅎ closes it.

Where does this form come from?

It follows Hangul’s syllable-building system.

Korean King Sejong created Hangul in 1443, first called Hunminjeongeum, to give Korean a writing system suited to its sounds. In 1446, a book titled Hunminjeongeum explained its design. 슿 is one combination in that system.
