What 쇡 means
On the Korean two-set keyboard, press T-H-L-R.
Those keys enter ㅅ, ㅗ, ㅣ, and ㄱ in order; the Korean input method combines ㅗ ㅣ into ㅚ and composes the parts as 쇡. On another Korean layout, enter the jamo ㅅ ㅚ ㄱ in that order.
What does 쇡 mean?
쇡 is a Korean syllable; the surrounding word supplies its meaning.
Hangul took recognizable form at King Sejong’s court around 1443–1444 and was formally announced in 1446. It was designed to represent Korean speech more directly than Hanja, the Chinese characters used in Korean writing, and to make writing easier to learn.
Hangul later became the main writing system in both Koreas. It has also been adapted to write Jeju and Cia-Cia, a language of Indonesia. 쇡 follows the usual syllable-block pattern: initial consonant ㅅ, vowel ㅚ, and final consonant ㄱ.
Is 쇡이다 the right Korean spelling?
No. Standard Korean writes 속이다.
쇡이다 is a nonstandard spelling associated with ㅣ역행동화, a pronunciation shift in which the later Korean vowel ㅣ affects the earlier ㅗ. If you mean “to deceive,” write 속이다.
Use 쇡 within Korean writing or when studying Hangul; alone, it reads as a character lookup rather than a reaction.
By itself, 쇡 does not communicate a reaction; it is a Hangul syllable used within words.
