hangul syllable soenh

Hangul syllable Soenh

5607/11172

쇦 is a precomposed Hangul syllable block, not an emoji; “soenh” is a romanized structural label, not a translation. It combines an initial consonant, the vowel ㅚ, and the final cluster ㄶ. Hangul was completed in 1443 and described in the 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a guide that made Korean writing easier to learn; ㅚ shifted in pronunciation from medieval Korean to modern Korean.

What 쇦 means

It represents one Hangul syllable; its Unicode name is structural.

Unicode decomposes 쇦 into three Hangul letter elements, called jamo: ᄉ at the start, ᅬ as the vowel, and ᆭ at the end. The final ᆭ is a consonant pair formed from ㄴ ㅎ.
