What 쎕 means
One Hangul block, with word meaning supplied by context.
A 1443 court record notes Hangul's creation; the 1446 guide 훈민정음 explains its design for easier Korean writing and learning. Early books translated Buddhist and Confucian works; after the 1592–1598 Imjin War, practical books used it too. It became Korea's official script in 1894, losing that status under Japanese rule in 1910.
Unicode's decomposed form of 쎕 is ᄊ, ᅦ, ᆸ: Hangul letters called jamo, ordered initial consonant, vowel, final consonant. Text normalization, a standard text-storage change, can split them; Hangul-aware text can still display one syllable.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
Codes and encoding1 code points
