What 쏠 means
쏠 is one Korean syllable block; its meaning comes from the word.
쏠 combines ㅆ (a tense s sound), ㅗ (o), and ㄹ (an l-like ending); its usual Latin transliteration is ssol. 쏠리다 can mean to lean or to draw attention; 쏠쏠하다 can describe fun or earnings as worthwhile.
Hangul was designed under King Sejong, Korea's ruler, for writing Korean speech. Unlike Chinese characters, its consonant and vowel letters combine into blocks for syllables. The first notice of the alphabet dates to 1443; an explanatory book followed in 1446.
