What 쑳 means
It works as one syllable, not a complete word.
A Korean word gives the syllable its role and meaning; alone, 쑳 is best treated as a text fragment or an input check.
Hangul’s creation is recorded in 1443, and an explanatory guide appeared in 1446. The system was designed to write Korean more directly than methods such as idu and hyangchal, which adapted Chinese characters to Korean speech. 쑳 is one combination made possible by Hangul’s consonant-and-vowel syllable blocks, not a sign with its own historical origin.
How do I type 쑳?
Use a Korean two-set keyboard layout. With Korean input active, press ShiftT, N, F, G in order; the keyboard input method combines them into 쑳. With Latin input active, those same keys enter Latin letters.
Why does 쑳 split into jamo?
Text normalization can separate its jamo without changing the syllable. Some software stores the same Hangul syllable as component jamo; other software recombines them into one block. The display can look the same even when the underlying character count differs.

Questions people ask
1Why does 쑳 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
