What 쒫 means
It combines three Hangul letters in one syllable block.
Hangul is the Korean alphabet; its letters, called jamo, are arranged into syllable blocks. In 쒫, the first consonant is ㅆ, the vowel is ㅞ, and the final consonant cluster is ㅀ.
Hangul’s creation is recorded in 1443; Hunminjeongeum, the 1446 book explaining the script, describes it. Those dates belong to Hangul as a writing system, not to this individual block.
