What 쎤 means
By itself, it does not name a Korean word.
Hangul was devised to make Korean easier to write than older systems for writing Korean with Chinese characters, including Idu, Gugyeol, and Hyangchal. Its creation was recorded in late 1443; the 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the script, explained its purpose. Later, Hangul appeared in Buddhist and Confucian translations, practical texts, letters, and daily writing.
Hangul jamo are letters that build syllable blocks; 쎤 uses ㅆ, ㅕ, and ㄴ. Fonts may draw its encoded block differently without changing the character.

1Why does 쎤 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
