Hangul Syllable Ssyip

씦 is a Hangul syllable block: one Korean syllable written with letters. Alone, it has no fixed conversational meaning; the surrounding Korean word supplies it. Hangul was developed by 1443 and documented in the 1446 Hunminjeongeum, a guide to the new script.

What 씦 means

As of 2026, 씦 has no established reply meaning by itself.

It is one block made from three letters called jamo: ᄊ, ᅴ and ᇁ. Before Hangul, Korean writing used Chinese characters (called Hanja in Korean) and systems adapted to Korean. Hangul represented Korean speech directly. Earlier called 언문 (“vernacular writing”), it appeared in official documents by 1894.
