Hangul Syllable Teult

9926/11172

틅 is a valid Hangul syllable block, but it has no fixed word or message meaning by itself. As of 2026, it has no settled reaction use, so an isolated send needs conversational context.

Text symbol

What 틅 means

Its name describes a syllable pattern, not a translated word. Hangul blocks combine an initial consonant, a vowel, and sometimes a final consonant; 틅 decomposes into ᄐ, ᅳ, and ᆴ. These are the initial, vowel, and final jamo—the Hangul letters used to build a block. The final cluster is also written ㄾ.

King Sejong created Hangul in 1443 to make Korean easier to learn and write; the explanatory book Hunminjeongeum appeared in 1446. Unicode’s modern Hangul set follows Johab, the full list defined by Korean standard KS C 5601 in 1992; it includes combinations that need not occur in ordinary words.
