What 툆 means
The block combines an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final cluster. “Toebs” joins their jamo (Hangul letter) labels: ㅌ, ㅚ, and ㅄ.
Hangul was devised in 1443 so Korean speakers could write their language without mastering Chinese characters. The 1446 book Hunminjeongeum haerye explained the alphabet. Idu adapted Chinese characters to write Korean but could not represent it fully; Hangul later became the alphabet used to write Korean.
Tone: neutral as a character; alone, it adds no expressive tone.
“Toebs” is a component label, not a Korean translation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 툆 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
