What 턊 means
Turn on Korean input; press x, i, q, then t.
On the standard two-set layout, x, i, and qt enter the syllable’s three parts. Korean input joins them into one block.
What does 턊 mean?
It is a single Korean syllable written in Hangul.
The Unicode name “Tyabs” labels this block; it does not translate a word. Hangul combines consonant and vowel letters into syllable blocks, sometimes with a final consonant cluster.
How did Hangul take shape?
King Sejong devised Hangul to make Korean easier to write. It was first recorded in 1443, and the 1446 Hunminjeongeum guide explains how its letters form syllable blocks.
Before Hangul, Korean writers used Chinese characters and systems adapted from them. During the Joseon dynasty, Hangul appeared in books and letters; it became official in 1894 and lost national status under Japanese rule in 1910.

1Questions people ask
2Was Hangul influenced by Phags-pa?
Possibly. A 2009 Korean-linguistics paper proposed that the Mongolian Phags-pa script influenced the design of some Hangul vowel letters. The proposal concerns Hangul’s history, not a special link to 턊.
Why does 턊 sometimes appear as separate letters?
A decomposed text form stores the syllable as three linked Hangul letters rather than one precomposed block. Fonts and apps need Hangul shaping to display those letters as one syllable.
