hangul syllable tyilh

Hangul syllable Tyilh

9956/11172

틣 is one Hangul syllable block made from ㅌ ㅢ ㅀ; those parts do not make a complete word translation. Read it within the Korean word, name, or transcription around it. Unicode can also represent it as three ordered jamo and compose them into one block.

What 틣 means

It is one Korean syllable, read within a word. Its Hangul jamo (letters) are ㅌ ㅢ ㅀ; together they represent a syllable, not a word definition. If it appears alone, its role depends on the surrounding Korean word, name, or transcription.

Why are Hangul syllables written in blocks?

Blocks arrange Korean letters into spoken syllables. Hangul was created because Chinese characters were a poor fit for Korean speech; its 28-letter system was designed so ordinary people could learn and use it. Hunminjeongeum, the explanatory book about the script, appeared in 1446 and describes initial, vowel, and final positions.

The first recorded notice of Hunminjeongeum is a December 1443 entry in Sejong Sillok, the official chronicle of King Sejong's reign. During the Joseon period, Hangul coexisted with literary Chinese and appeared in royal, everyday, private, and popular settings. This is the script's history, not a word meaning for 틣.

How is 틣 represented in Unicode?

Unicode can store the syllable as one block or as ordered jamo. Its canonical decomposition is ᄐ ᅴ ᆶ; these correspond to the familiar keyboard forms ㅌ ㅢ ㅀ. They are an initial consonant, a vowel, and a final consonant cluster.

Unicode composition treats that initial-vowel-final sequence as one Hangul syllable. Text segmentation should not insert a grapheme or line break inside it.

Technical and neutral: within Korean text, this block contributes one syllable.

Alone, it gives the recipient too little context to infer your point.

Questions people ask

1

Why did 틣 split into separate jamo?

The text path kept its decomposed form. Unicode defines the jamo sequence as canonically equivalent to the single syllable block, but an input method or app may preserve the sequence separately.

Why is 틣 a box on my screen?

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
