What 윖 means
One Korean syllable; its word supplies the meaning.
Hangul letter components—called jamo—ㅇ, ㅟ and the final cluster ㅄ form this block. The Unicode label “wibs” joins component names; it does not translate a Korean word. Sent by itself, 윖 leaves the intended word unclear.
Why was Hangul created?
Hangul was designed to write Korean more accessibly and accurately.
Hangul was developed in 1443 and promulgated in 1446. Before it, Korean writers adapted Chinese characters in systems such as Idu, Hyangchal and Gugyeol to record Korean speech and grammar. Hangul instead arranged its own letters into syllable blocks. Over time, the script also became a marker of Korean cultural identity.
How do I type 윖?
Compose its parts in a Korean IME.
Enter initial ㅇ, vowel ㅟ, then final ㅂ followed by ㅅ without starting another syllable; the IME joins the last pair into ㅄ and forms 윖.
A font that supports precomposed 윖 displays one block. If the text instead contains separate jamo, a system without Hangul shaping support can leave them apart; fonts can also draw the block differently.

1Why does 윖 look different in different fonts?
Fonts can draw the block with different proportions. When text contains separate Hangul letters instead of precomposed 윖, a system without Hangul shaping support may leave the letters apart.
