What 𐴓 means
It marks the Rohingya consonant «l».
In a written word, the consonant carries a built-in vowel unless a vowel sign changes it or the sakin sign silences it.
A document finalized by Hanif and others on February 19, 1980, is the earliest known evidence of Hanifi Rohingya. The script follows some Arabic writing conventions and also draws on Latin and Myanmar writing; those influences do not make it a branch of Arabic. Primers, arithmetic books, and newspapers show its use in teaching and print, followed by later lessons and digital text.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𐴓 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Hanifi Rohingya block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
