What ⟠ means
It divides the diamond into an upper and lower triangle.
“Lozenge” means a diamond shape, and “rule” means a drawn line. Here, “divided” describes the drawing; it does not by itself instruct you to divide numbers.
In modal logic—the study of what must or might be true—a plain diamond commonly means “it is possible that.” That does not establish the same meaning for ⟠. When reproducing mathematical notation, keep the horizontal line and follow the author’s definition of this exact sign.
