What 𛋢 means
It is a character in the Nüshu writing system. Nüshu adapts Chinese characters to write local speech, usually syllable by syllable; some signs also stand for ideas.
What did women write with Nüshu?
Biographies, letters, and wedding booklets of good wishes. Many women had little access to learning Chinese characters, so Nüshu let them record Jiangyong speech. They wrote letters between close “sworn sisters”; friends gave a bride a booklet of good wishes three days after her wedding.
UNESCO identifies the earliest known Nüshu artifact as a Taiping-era coin (1851–1864), inscribed with a phrase calling women one family; it dates the first documentary record to a Hunan survey in 1933. These are evidence dates, not a date of invention. By the late 20th century, few fluent users remained, and Nüshu drew wider study and preservation attention.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𛋢 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
