What 𐌘 means
A letter inside words, not a mood. In Etruscan it wrote the aspirated p — the sound Romans spelled 'ph' in Greek loanwords. Colonists from the Greek island of Euboea carried writing to Ischia and Cumae in the eighth century BCE; Etruscan inscriptions appear by circa 700 BCE, marking ownership, ritual, and burial. Faliscan, Oscan, Umbrian, and Latin grew from the same alphabet family — this sign never entered Latin.
Why does 𐌘 look different?
Regions drew their own forms. Etruscan, Venetic, Raetic, and Lepontic variants differ; Unicode merges them into one character. Inscriptions ran right-to-left, but the Old Italic block is left-to-right. A box means your font lacks coverage.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𐌘 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
