What 🆝 means
A boxed label for 2K TV or video.
The 2K TV marker appears in ARIB STD-B62, Japan's standard for second-generation digital broadcasting, enacted in 2014; it is one of the program-attribute symbols used in electronic program guides (EPGs).
Japan's 2015 Unicode proposal describes these as plain-text labels for exchanging broadcast information between systems and devices. In a message, pair 🆝 with “TV,” “video,” or “resolution” when the context is thin.
Technical and niche; add a TV, video, or resolution cue when the surrounding message does not supply one.
A blank 2K box means the active font or app cannot display 🆝.

3Questions people ask
1Why does 🆝 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
