What 𘢽 means

It is a building piece of a larger Tangut character.

These pieces also help scholars look up Tangut characters in dictionaries. Tangut is a distinct script whose characters resemble Chinese writing; it was used by Western Xia, a medieval state in northwestern China. Ruler Li Yuanhao ordered scholars to create it. In 1036 Tangut became the state's official language, and the script marked a distinct cultural identity. Tangut texts survive in official, private, and religious works.

Technical and scholarly; it belongs to Tangut character study.
