What 𘣃 means
It is a structural component, not a standalone word.
Tangut writing was created in 1036 for the Tangut language under the Western Xia state. The state used it for administration and Buddhist translations; some surviving manuscripts date to the mid-11th century. Its forms drew on Chinese and earlier Khitan scripts, but Tangut was a distinct writing system.
In modern scholarship, Tangut components help describe and index characters. Unicode’s Ideographic Description Sequences (IDS), a notation for showing how a character is assembled, also use components to describe Tangut character structure. Editorial notes for one Tangut dictionary place 𘣃 on the left in entries 5286–5288.
In Tangut character analysis it marks structure; alone in an ordinary message, it reads as specialist notation.
Alone, it does not communicate a Tangut word or a feeling.
