What 𘣠 means
No: it labels a component, not a complete Tangut word.
“Tangut component 225” identifies its place in an inventory; 225 is not a pronunciation. In an ideographic description sequence—a notation showing a character’s parts—𘣠 marks one component within a complete Tangut character.
The Tangut script dates to around 1036–1037, under Western Xia’s first emperor. It served official and private records and religious writing, including Buddhist texts, and remained in use under Yuan and Ming rule. Its design drew on Chinese and Khitan scripts, but it is a distinct writing system.
Technical: for Tangut study and structural descriptions.
