What 𘨪 means
Use Tangut input; check for a Tangut font. The Xunpin method for Rime, a configurable keyboard framework, offers Tangut entry by pronunciation, strokes, a code based on the character's four corners, or component lookup. Without a Tangut-capable font, 𘨪 may appear as an empty box.
What does 𘨪 mean?
𘨪 is Tangut component 555, a building block rather than a word.
Scholars use Tangut components to describe and index full Tangut characters. In a complete character, a component can contribute to meaning or sound; its role depends on the character, so 𘨪 has no single everyday definition.
The Tangut script developed in the 11th century for the Tangut language of Western Xia, a medieval state in what is now northwestern China. It served government records, Buddhist translations, and dictionaries. Buddhist texts continued after the state fell; the latest known dated Tangut writing is around 1502.
Scholarly and archival: it belongs in Tangut character analysis, dictionary indexing, or Unicode discussion.
