What 𘩅 means
It is a structural part used to organize and describe Tangut characters.
Tangut characters are built from recurring components. Scholars use them to sort dictionary entries and analyze how a character is arranged. A component can also appear in an Ideographic Description Sequence (IDS), a compact notation showing an ideograph's structure. The sequence describes the character; it is not a phrase to read aloud.
The Tangut script was created under the first Western Xia emperor about 1036 to write the Tangut language. Tangut characters can resemble Chinese writing, but Tangut is a distinct script with its own components. The Western Xia state ruled in what is now northwestern China. Tangut appears in official and private records, religious texts, Buddhist scriptures, inscriptions, and manuscripts. After the Mongol conquest of Western Xia, it remained in use under the Yuan and Ming dynasties and was obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Scholars rediscovered it in the late 19th century; early 20th-century work by N. A. Nevskij helped decipher it.
