What 𘩺 means
It helps index and describe Tangut characters.
A Tangut component is a written part used for dictionary ordering and structural analysis. Unicode’s Tangut Ideographic Description Sequences (IDS)—a notation for showing how characters are built—use components too. “635” labels this entry; other component sets may number parts differently.
The Tangut script was organized for the Tangut-ruled state of Western Xia around 1036 and used to translate Chinese and Buddhist texts. It remained in use after the state fell in 1227: a Buddhist sutra was printed in Tangut in 1247, and stone pillars at Baoding preserve Tangut writing dated 1502. The script outlasted the state.
