What 𗁺 means
It is a Tangut character glossed as “clumsy.”
That is a dictionary gloss, not a verdict on the person who sent it. On its own, 𗁺 does not tell you what the word describes; surrounding Tangut text supplies that context.
Why was Tangut writing created?
Tangut writing was created for the Western Xia state.
The script was created in 1036 on Emperor Li Yuanhao’s orders, as part of state-building and to write the Tangut language. It also served Buddhist texts, including a Tangut Buddhist canon. Tangut forms drew on Chinese writing traditions, but Tangut is a separate script; neighboring Khitan peoples had created Chinese-inspired scripts earlier.
Tangut texts survive in Buddhist and secular works. A Khara-khoto manuscript probably dates from the 12th or early 13th century; Tangut texts also survive from after the Western Xia state fell in 1227.
Why does 𗁺 show as a box?
A font without Tangut coverage can show it as a box.
The square or fallback mark means the font lacks this character; it does not change the text value. A Tangut-capable font is needed to display its shape.
Historical and literary; the English gloss “clumsy” can sound pointed when aimed at a person.
Don’t treat the gloss as an insult aimed at you without Tangut context.

Questions people ask
1Is 𗁺 an insult?
Not by itself. “Clumsy” is a dictionary gloss, but the character alone does not show whom or what the Tangut word describes. Context decides.
